'The United Nations World Food Programme has won the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize, for its efforts to combat hunger. The World Food Programme beat over 300 nominees, including more than 200 individuals and over 100 organisations. Dr Henrik Urdal, director at Peace Research Institute Oslo, said the prize is for multilateral collaboration, acknowledging the link between conflict and hunger, as well as raising awareness on a major issue of our time -- the protection of refugees.
