'One of the most common statements heard about healthy food is \"healthy foods are so boring!\" It\'s because when people think of health foods, they think about plain vegetables, plain fish, and plain chicken. Well, healthy foods don\'t have to be plain! Here are some easy ways to add flavor to your favorite healthy dishes:  Fruit Fruit is healthy on its own, but more enticing when it\'s in a fruit salad. Another thing to  try is some spices on your fruit. Spices like nutmeg or cinnamon can add some flavor to your fruits.   Vegetables Most people tend to just steam vegetables, without seasonings. To make veggies more enticing, try a mixture of them. Think about adding herbs, spices, lemon, garlic, or flavorful oils. Keep in mind that a little bit of seasoning goes a long way when it comes to vegetables.  Cottage cheese People either love or hate cottage cheese! If you\'re not a fan of eating cottage cheese with fruit, consider trying it with vegetables. Cottage cheese can be savory when added to vegetables with seasonings.   Meats People have a tendency again to cook their chicken or fish without seasonings. But there\'s so much that you can do with it! Again, think herbs, think spices, think lemon, think garlic.  Whole grains Again, seasoning is key. You could use some diced up vegetables to add flavor and color. You could do something simple by cooking it in broth, even that can bring out the flavor of whole grains.  Don\'t be afraid to experiment in the kitchen.
