'Summer Food Plot Timing; Why Wait?'

'Summer Food Plot Timing; Why Wait?'

'As summer begins, many hunters begin to till up and plant their food plots for the season ahead, but we think it may be in your best interest to wait. If your property is located in a mixed agriculture area, there are times when you should consider leaving your plots vacant and allow deer to feast on neighboring agriculture fields. Giving your plots some time to sit during the summer months encourages does and fawns to move towards larger food sources. This not only leaves more room for bucks on your property, but keeps does at bay while your foot plots are planted and established in late summer. When Ag fields are harvested, and soybeans brown, the deer will filter back to your foot plot once they have had a chance to establish and when you can hunt them.
