'The Pacbak 88-liter Provider Series cooler with battery-operated vacuum sealer wins best of show award at ICAST 2022 - features overview. These first-time entrants in the ICAST New Product Showcase overwhelmed a field of some 900 entries, including new products by some of the biggest names in fishing, to win \"Best of Show\" honors. The cooler is the brainchild of Brian MacKinnon, the Founder/President/Chief Innovation Officer of PacBak Wasilla, Alaska. MacKinnon was a survivor of the horrendous mass shooting at a Las Vegas concert several years ago. His best friend was killed, dying in MacKinnon\'s arms, resulting in years of PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), only overcome with the assistance of military veterans suffering similar trauma.
