Thai Away on Granville Street is known for cheap prices, and good portion sizes. Their Lunch Combos are less than $10 and include a Fried Veggie Spring Roll, Salad, (and Rice unless you get a noodle dish.) Lunch Special ends at 4PM! The other items on their menu like the appetizers, and entrees are also fairly priced. What a deal! Fried Spring Roll and Salad comes with the Lunch Combo. There is also a small dish for dipping sauce. Yum! Pad Thai Chicken and Shrimp $8.95 Thai fried noodles with prawns and tofu, bean sprouts & egg, peanuts and cilantro. This Pad Thai has a \'zesty\' sauce specific to Thai Away. Thai Coconut Curry $9.59 Green Curry with Eggplant and basil leaves. Comes with rice. PRICE: $ CHEAP! Lunch Combo is the best deal in downtown. QUALITY: It\'s pretty good! Good portion size of Pad Thai with lots of shrimp, and bean sprouts. The Zesty sauce is ok, maybe too much. Not the best Pad Thai ever made but for the price and portion it is pretty good. Green Curry was good. Lots of eggplant and chicken. SERVICE: Very friendly and fast service. VERDICT: Thai Away is a very good choice for cheap and filling Thai food. If you\'re in downtown Vancouver it is worth checking out. Good for students, workers, tourists.
