'Today is a day to reflect on the choices we make. When we do something in a moment, which in this case is a meal, do we think of what has happened before that moment? Who has been a part of it, what their life has been like? In Sri Lanka so many pregnant mothers and calves are victims of slaughter too, eventhough it is not meant to happen. Violet was a mother who had her baby in the slaughter house, so she was spared a few days to live with her new baby. That was her lucky escape to have the life she has today.'
