'Rice porridge is Okayu in Japanese.It’s so simple,just water and rice.We eats okayu when we are sick also.Cause it’s almost liquid and easy to swallow.We give it in liquid form for 1st stage of baby food, and make it harder according to the age of baby.  =====================================================================  Rice Porridge / 10 Bai Gayu | 5 Months+Baby Food  INGREDIENTS : 50g uncooked rice  500ml water ( 10 times of uncooked rice )  DIRECTIONS :  Rinse uncooked rice in water first, then drain.Repeat until the water runs clear.(about tree times)Rinse with cold water not hot water* Soak the rice in bowl for at least 30 minutes.( add cold water until cover rice) After 30 minutes, drain the water completely.Then add soaked rice in the pot. Add 500 ml of water.Cover the pot and bring to a boil over high heat. When it\'s boiled, lower the heat to the stove’s lowest setting. Open the lid and gently mix with the spoon once, making sure rice is not stuck to the bottom of the pot. If your baby eats this the first meal,take liquid just 1 tbsp.We call this liquid \"Omoyu\" which you gave it for your baby as the first meal. Keep low heat and boiling the rice for 40 minutes.After rice is ready.Stop the heat. Place into your choice of appliance for pureeing and begin pureeing.I’m using hand blender. It can be used directory in the pot and so easy to wash too.  Add extra water and mix again if you want to make it more smooth texture.
