'WHO and IAP recommend that up to 6 months of age babies should be exclusively kept on breastfeeding. Even water can be avoided as the breast-milk has a sufficient amount of water for the baby. There are no guidelines or directions about the foods one should start complementary feeding with, however, salts and sugars should be avoided. Dr. Mahesh Balsekar, Consultant Paediatrician at NH SRCC Hospital, Mumbai speaks with Dr. Bela, Paediatrician at NH SRCC Hospital, Mumbai and shares more information about complementary feeding in babies in this video. #NarayanaHealth #HealthForAll #AllForHealth #NHCares For video consultation with the doctor, log on to https://video.narayana.health/home Visit our website https://www.narayanahealth.org to know more about Narayana Health and its facilities.
